How do government policies impact access to health services?
Using Opinion & Feedback Surveys our researchers offered a government department insights into how their COVID-19 policies impacted access to services for seniors.
RESULTS: The study had nearly 15,000 responses from across the province providing the feedback used for a report which informed provincial government policies.
How do people decide what to buy when grocery shopping?
Using Immersive Market Research our researchers uncovered how shoppers distinguish between major food brands in this highly competitive market along with their attitudes, beliefs and behaviours.
RESULTS: The findings were used to introduce new strategies for brand positioning and marketing.
What are thousands of people saying about you?
Using Natural Language Processing (NLP) our researchers helped a government health agency analyze sentiment, opinions and feedback from thousands of patients responding to open-ended survey questions about their outpatient service experiences.
RESULTS: The findings were summarized as an interactive dashboard and reporting solution which was fully integrated into the agency’s policy monitoring procedures.
What makes a great film experience?
Using Ethnography and Participant Observation our researchers helped a national film organization understand how moviegoers’ expectations and experiences affected their choice of film in cinemas across Canada. And yes, the concession stand was well studied.
RESULTS: The organization incorporated study findings into efforts to boost Canadian made feature films from 1.5% to 3%.
What do you expect from your health care service providers?
Using Program, Project and Policy Evaluation our researchers conducted a quantitative analysis of thousands of surveys segmenting results by year, health authority, gender, age and reasons from services.
RESULTS: The findings were used to create a thorough internal report presented to decision makers to guide the future of outpatient cancer care services.
How do you feel about the news?
Using Ethnography and Participant Observation our researchers conducted field research in viewers’ homes throughout rural and urban centres across Canada. The study gathered insights on their expectations from national news programs, how they use the information in their daily life and the importance of national news broadcasting.
RESULTS: The findings were integrated into future media production activities and wider operating procedures.
